Dr David Y K Wong
David received a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Chicago in 1987. His prior work experience includes serving as Research Economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, Lecturer at the University of Chicago and Temple University, and Director at the investment bank of W.I. Carr Indosuez. He presently serves as a director on a number of companies including his family business United Overseas Enterprises Ltd.
David has long been active in public service, especially in the area of economic and public policy research and advocacy. His present positions include President of the Chinese Manufacturers Association of HK, Council Member of the Trade Development Council, Member of the Traffic Advisory Committee, Council Member of the Institute of Directors, and Adjunct Professor of the School of Business of the HK Baptist University. David has been an active member of the BPF since 1991.
